In a bid to instill best practices within the pharmaceutical industry, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has stressed the crucial need for efficient and seamless port clearance procedures.
Speaking at the 2024 training of Ports Inspection Directorate Priority Clients on the Ports Inspection Data Capture and Risk Management System (PIDCARMS) platform, NAFDAC’s Director-General, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, highlighted the significance of industry proficiency in utilizing PIDCARMS for streamlined port operations.
The training session aimed to equip stakeholders and priority clients with essential insights into utilizing PIDCARMS for effective and seamless port clearance.
Prof Adeyeye emphasized the agency’s commitment to staying abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices. She underlined that membership in the Priority Client Platform required a commitment to maintaining high standards and adherence to operational guidelines to enjoy associated benefits, including 24-hour attention on the platform.
Adeyeye expressed the agency’s dedication to providing valuable guidance on the optimized PIDCARMS for efficient port clearance procedures. She stated, “The whole essence of the annual training is to continuously improve stakeholders’ skills in the application of PIDCARMS to increase data on right-first-time records.”
Certificates of participation were issued to 150 Top-priority clients, and the training concluded with an award ceremony and plaque presentation. The Director-General encouraged active participation, engagement, networking, and the exchange of ideas among attendees, emphasizing their feedback’s importance in the agency’s continuous improvement and service enhancement.
