The Federal Government will prioritize strengthening governance processes, effective regulations, digitization of health care services and patient-centered care and safety, said the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate.
In a recent X (formerly Twitter) thread, Prof. Pate announced his mission to transform Nigeria’s healthcare landscape, aligning it with President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda”.
He further stressed that in addition to investing in health facilities, especially the primary health care centres across the country, and the training and motivation of health workers, the Tinubu-led administration will also focus on public health security.
The Minister stressed that focusing on industrialization and utilization of the healthcare value chain will not only create jobs but also add to Nigeria’s socio-economic prosperity.
Prof. Pate notes that this is in line with the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) mandate to ensure that every Nigerian, regardless of their social and economic background, have unhindered access to available, qualitative, and affordable healthcare services, and no one is left behind.
